Mona manages the Middle East Entrepreneur Training (MEET) Alumni Network for the Beyster Institute at the Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego. Prior to her position at UCSD, Mona consulted with numerous companies and taught at both the University of San Diego and National University in the areas of strategic management, operations and quantitative methods. Mona has held several executive management positions. She was a Senior Vice President and member of the Board of Directors for Enova Technology (now Sempra) in San Diego. Before Enova, as a Vice President for Ameritech she was responsible for managing wholesale operations, project management and the startup of multiple businesses. Prior to joining Ameritech, Mona was the General Manager of AT&T Consumer Communication Services where she was responsible for 40 million long-distance customers. As Director of Strategy Development for AT&T Corporate, she was invited by the Prime Minister of Egypt to share her expertise in privacy rights and intellectual property. Preceding her move to AT&T Corporate, she spent 10 years as a Researcher at AT&T Bell Labs.

Mona holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics/Statistics, an M.S. in Math, an M.S. in Statistics and a B.S. in Mathematics; all from The Ohio State University. She was born in Cairo, Egypt and is fluent in Arabic and French.
