Advanced Business Training Methodology™

The Beyster Institute uses a robust, unique methodology for the deployment of effective entrepreneurship education called the Advanced Business Training Methodology™ (ABTM).  This proprietary methodology includes an emphasis on interactive learning activities and experiential learning.

A foundational element of Beyster Institute entrepreneurship education programs is peer learning.  It is most effective when supplemented with case materials presented in small group meetings, or events that foster dialogue, bringing together individuals who have similar experiences and interests.

Our training modules reflect this multifaceted approach that addresses adult learning styles and preferences.  The Beyster Institute’s methodology for delivering advanced business training modules is as follows:

  • Pre-program Questionnaire.  Each module includes a Pre-program Questionnaire which the instructor then uses to tailor the course content for each group of students.
  • One-page Case Study.  The Case Study illustrates certain key learning outcomes in a way the training participants can easily relate to.
  • Interactive Worksheet(s). These detailed worksheets contain questions that help the students make specific application to their business.
  • Action Plan.  This worksheet uses direct questions to help stimulate thinking about the subject matter.  It provides a “take away” from the module that enable the student to apply specific elements of the class to his/her company.
  • Take-away Article.  This expert article describes the pertinent points of the subject at hand and provides background information on key points of the presentation.
  • PowerPoint Presentation. Module development is rounded out with a concise, coherent PowerPoint presentation, provided in handout form.
  • Instructors Guide.  This comprehensive guide takes the instructor slide-by-slide and minute-by-minute through the presentation of the module.
