International Equity Compensation Consulting

For more than a decade, the Beyster Institute has been providing technical assistance to corporations, governments and organizations interested in equity compensation strategies. The actual structure of these plans can vary quite widely but at their core they provide workers with a financial incentive in the long-term success of their employer and an opportunity to share in the risks and rewards of ownership.

Our worldwide experience includes assignments in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America. Our staff has expertise in conducting feasibility studies for structuring transactions; privatization consulting and plan design; developing legislative and regulatory reforms and public policy recommendations; and technical assistance with the design of multinational employee share ownership plans.

We take an in-depth approach to needs assessment and the development of an employee share ownership strategy that is responsive to differing legal, cultural, and business environments.

Why Equity Compensation?

Equity compensation programs are designed to give employees a direct financial stake in the success of their company and an ongoing incentive to improve overall company performance. Securing broad-based ownership through widespread use of equity compensation plans can help ensure that a growing economy will benefit large numbers of people. In addition, equity compensation and employee ownership plans can play a critical role in corporate restructuring transactions.

Providing workers with an opportunity to obtain a significant ownership stake also gives them an incentive to support economic reforms by allowing them to benefit directly from policies intended to promote the growth of the private sector. Broader ownership of income-producing assets can also help reduce pressure on public pension programs and the need for increased taxation to finance other income redistribution strategies.
